Rafael De La Hoz

I’ve been a State Farm agent since 2016, after spending the first part of my career in banking. Now I’m glad to serve the residents of Allentown, PA and the surrounding area, including Bethlehem, Easton, and Macungie. Every agent in our office speaks both English and Spanish—myself included—and we handle homeowners and renters insurance, auto insurance, life insurance, business insurance and more, including financial services.

I’m proud to be the first Latino State Farm agent in Allentown. I’m also proud to represent this company—I was inspired to become a State Farm agent because of the service I received as one of its customers. My home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2013, and it took over a year to rebuild. But State Farm was there for me and my family, every step of the way. So, in 2015 I started on the path to become an agent, and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been a perfect fit for me—I love meeting people and I have a passion for helping them through difficult times, and I will never forget the lessons I learned when I was on the other side of this relationship. I want my customers to always feel as valued and protected as I’ve felt with State Farm.

I was born in Colombia and moved to the United States when I was 30 years old. I earned an MBA from Moravian College, and I’m married with two wonderful children. My youngest is an inspiration to me—he was born with health challenges and he has already overcome so much in his life. He’s a true fighter! As a family, we love getting outside and playing sports like soccer and basketball, as well as biking, swimming, camping, and finding beautiful places to explore in our RV.

I also love serving our beautiful community. I’m a board member for the Burn Prevention Network, and I’m on the financial board for the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, where I also teach classes. I’ve also served on the board of United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and Habitat for Humanity, and I’m always encouraging my team members to find ways to make a positive impact in the world.

I love connecting with my customers on a personal level, and I use my own experiences to show just how important it is to make sure you have the right coverage.
